We wrapped up VBS 2011 at church this morning. The grade school kids sang for us, including Daniel's class & did a great job. We loved the music again this year and thanks to Nanna have had a cd to enjoy for the past few weeks........B-B-B-Big Apple Adventure & I Wanna Love You More were some of our favorites. Daniel also liked the John 3:16 rap mix. After the service, we headed to the Magnolia Mall for the big celebration, complete with lots of inflatables, food vendors & the ice cream truck. Before we dove into all of that, we watched as Mr. Jonathan had countless 'gross' things (sour kraut, baked beans, mustard, mayo, sardines, etc.) poured over his head thanks to all of the $ raised for One Verse. He wore goggles & sat in an inflatable pool & was a fantastic sport for the event. Daniel was totally enthralled! It was about the grossest (is that a word?) thing I have ever seen, but Daniel couldn't get enough of it! I guess it is a boy thing! Then it was on to the party, which was lots of fun, but REALLY, REALLY hot! We didn't last long playing, skipped lunch & went straight for the ice cream truck, where snow cones hit the spot!
