We have been meaning to go to the McWane Center the whole time school has been out for Christmas & just haven't made it. We almost went yesterday, but Daniel & Laura Ann opted to stay home & play outside with their neighborhood friends instead. This morning when I asked them how they wanted to spend their last day off before going back to school, they finally voted for the McWane Center, so off we went. They enjoyed some of our favorites....the sharks & the hurricane tunnel before hitting the Christmas exhibits.....trains, snow, carpet skating, ice fishing & the ice slide. We took a break for lunch & then headed up to Daniel's favorite exhibit....the fossil dig site & guess who we ran into?? Jeb & Merrill!! Apparently they made the same decision this morning with their babysitter (Ann had to go back to school yesterday)to go to McWane! Needless to say, everyone was thrilled! We revisited several things with them & then enjoyed Animalopolis at the IMAX theater. We made a stop at the old 'rock' playground, as my kids call it, on our way home. It was a fabulous day & a great way to end our Christmas break. Back to the grind tomorrow! Ugh!!
