They announce all of the players before the games & Daniel is announced as Daniel "Flash" James. Flash is his nickname from track last season & I'm thinking it may stick!!!
Gran & Papa came to see Daniel play today!

Daniel played his 2nd basketball game of the season today & did SO MUCH better this week, as did the whole team! I think they were just in shock last week. Daniel did great, especially on defense. To say he went after the ball would be an understatement......thankfully they don't call fouls at this age! I was just happy that he didn't tackle anyone. He did pretty well on offense too. He brought the ball down the court several times & got in a few shots. Although none of them went in, they all hit the rim & were very close. For this age group, I personally think shots that hit the rim should be given at least one point because that doesn't happen often (there are lots of major airballs). But, I'm just a mom, so what do I know? :) My favorite thing he did on offense was GUARD the man who was guarding him! So, so funny! He still gets a little confused between offense & defense. All in all, though, MUCH improved this week! Go Hornets!!
