Sara Kate & Daniel (We ran into Sara Kate at the inflatables & Daniel was so excited to see her! She is in his class this year & he talks about her often. Sara Kate's mom, Emily has emailed me a few times over the last two weeks to say that Sara Kate loves Daniel & thinks that he is the funniest little boy ever and that she loves his hair!:)

There is lots to love about our town & one of them is that the Huskies host a tailgate party on the quad behind the stadium before every home game. We have avoided these in the past (mostly because it is hot & the game starts too late), but after hearing it announced everyday at school last week, Daniel wouldn't take no for an answer. Looks like we've got a Huskie fan on our hands or a Huskie 'pup', as the primary students are called. So, we met up with lots of friends and got our faces painted, enjoyed popsicles & lots of jumping in the inflatables. The Rogers live across the street from the stadium and graciously invited all of us move our tailgate to their house for dinner. And let me just say that the Rogers can 'grill it up' with the best of them. For the second time this summer, they served their famous chicken kabobs & crockpot greenbeans- Y.U.M.!!! And then topped that off with strawberry limeade slushes- perfect for a hot summer cookout! Some of us ended our fun night at the Rogers' house & some of us headed on the game. We are definitely in the Huskie spirit now (even if we can't stay out late enough for the game)!! Go Huskies!!!
