She watched this all morning.....
Then dressed up in her princess bride dress.
On the porch waving to 'her people'
Getting a kiss at 'tea' from her 'prince'
We took a break from all of the tornado coverage this morning and watched the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I wasn't sure how 'into it' Laura Ann would be, but she L.O.V.E.D it! I was her age when Prince Charles & Lady Diana got married and remember very well watching it on TV. Her favorite parts were the Princess riding in the carriage and waving to 'her people' from the balcony. I told Laura Ann yesterday that when it was over, we could have a 'royal tea party' to celebrate. While I was still glued to the tv, she got dressed in her princess wedding dress and as I was heading upstairs to the playroom for our tea party, I noticed that she had the dining room table set with her dishes & the tea jug from the fridge out on the table!!! She meant big time! The only problem was that she didn't have a prince, but all she had to do was walk downstairs to her Daddy's office.......and the problem was solved. While the prince was finishing with a phone call, the princess stood on the balcony of her castle (our porch) and waved to all of 'her people'. The prince was most gracious to endure a sweet little tea party and completely made the princess's day!
A little side note.....I had my first date with Laura Ann's prince 14 years ago today!!! :)

Love Princess LA! Don't worry LA, I L.O.V.E.D the Royal Wedding too!!
So sweet! My favorite pic is her hair from the back while she's watching the wedding. Adorable!
I can't tell you how happy this post makes me! You know I love all things girlie and am thrilled of the prospect of doing this fun stuff with Kay Elise! Maybe Prince Harry will get married when Kay Elise is Laura Ann's age and we can celebrate with style too!! :)
