Team Impact

Team Impact was at our church over the weekend. I'm not sure they impacted Daniel for Jesus, but they definitely made an impact!

These are some really tough legos!

He set these on fire before lifting them- WOW! :)

For You, Gran

The sun was in her eyes, thus the frown on her face

This is Gran's latest 'creation' for Laura Ann. We just got it in the mail this week & I thought she'd like to see how it looks on her! So sweet, Gran- we love it!

You're Under Arrest!

Daniel spent the morning playing 'Policeman'. I love his uniform- binoculars, notepad, flashlight & walkie talkie all stuffed in his underwear! I'm not sure what Elmo did, but it was bad enough to be cuffed & thrown in jail (my shower). Someone must've posted his bond because he was out before we left for church. I was a little more fortunate & only received a ticket for my misconduct, which according to the officer was 'driving fast'. I even had to sign & date my ticket (maybe Dan can explain why Daniel is so familiar with this process!:) Looks like I'm going to have to shape up with an officer of the law living under my roof!

Josh's Pump It Up Party

Laura Ann & Kaylyn

The birthday boy being extra silly with the girls

Laura Ann had a blast today at her friend, Josh's birthday party at Pump It Up. She had so much fun playing with all of her school friends outside of school. I can't believe how big this group is getting. This time last year, they were all still on the 'baby hall' at school, mostly still in diapers, with pacis, etc. & just look at them now!!!

Duck Duck Goose!

Daniel & Laura Ann played a great game of duck, duck, goose with some of their stuffed friends yesterday. Funny that none of the stuffed friends ever got picked! :)

*Notice Daniel's new cape- the belt from my robe tied around his neck. I went on another 'confiscation' rampage this week due to very messy rooms & most of their toys are in garbage bags piled in the dining room, so he doesn't have any of his costumes to play with. He came & told me that he was being a 'problem solver' & that since he didn't have any of his capes, he had found a way to make one with something he did have. Ha! I'd forgotten how much fun his made up costumes can be, so maybe I'll keep the real costumes longer than I was originally planning to!

Daniel's Valentine Party

Ms. Misty emailed these pics from Daniel's party yesterday

The Rocket Class just as the 'snow storm' was beginning on Friday- Daniel was obviously clowning around! :)

The Tooth Fairy visits the WEE Center

Daniel was SO, SO excited today about the Tooth Fairy visiting his class! No wonder he is sitting right beside her in the class pic! He said, "She remembered my name & she said that she liked my train rug!" He has been informing us all evening how we are supposed to care for our teeth & how not to get sugar bugs!! Thank you Tooth Fairy for the special attention! Daniel can't wait to loose another tooth so that you can visit our house again! :)

This is the poem Daniel's class learned:
Sad tooth, sad tooth,
Full of decay.
Sweets caused me to feel this way.

Happy tooth, happy tooth,
Shiny and white.
Brushing keeps me beautiful
And shining so bright.

2/20 Update- I forgot to mention in this post that Laura Ann's class also got to visit with the Tooth Fairy & she told me at least 10 times how 'bootiful' her dress was. The funny thing is that I talked to the Tooth Fairy today & she asked if Laura Ann mentioned her dress to me! Ha! I told her yes, that Laura Ann REALLY liked her 'bootiful dress & she said that Laura Ann gave her MANY compliments on her dress during her visit & that she just kept rubbing it. She said that she was really in 'awe' of it! How funny!

Happy Valentine's Day

We started our day at church, which included Valentine cupcakes & candy for Daniel & Laura Ann's classes & bible stories about the love of Jesus. Dan & I had a marriage lesson on love & respect in our class- so appropriate for today! Then, we celebrated some more this afternoon & evening with Valentine tatoos & made Valentine cookies. I'm so thankful for our family. We definitely have our moments, but there is lots of love in our house & we've had a fun weekend celebrating it! One more Valentine party for Daniel on Tuesday & Valentine's Day 2010 will be a wrap!

A special 'Happy Valentine's Day' to my Valentine, Dan- I LOVE YOU!!!!

Valentine Surprises!

It has been a fun filled weekend full of Valentine surprises! Daniel & Laura Ann were thrilled to get cards from Granny & Pop on Friday. Gran visited yesterday & brought Valentine treats & cards from Mamaw & Papaw. (While she was here, Dan & I were able to sneak in a quick Valentine lunch. Yay!) And then, the mail arrived yesterday with even more Valentines- cards from Aunt Reta & a box of goodies from Nanna & Big Daddy. Daniel & Laura Ann loved opening all of the cards & goodies. Oh, what fun!

Snow Day Part 2

After quiet time, Daniel headed back out to soak up some more snow fun & his good buddy Champ joined him! Champ surprised us all- just when we thought he was starting to slow down, he ran WILD!! He was all over the yard running & jumping & then he stole the scarf from the snowman! It reminded me of the time when he was a puppy & our front yard in Douglasville flooded. We let Champ out to play in it & he went nuts! I guess he still has a little puppy left in him after all! Daniel had a blast trying to keep up with him! Daniel, of course, spent more time on the ground than on his feet. He loved running & sliding in the snow. He was totally & completely drenched when he decided to come in, but boy was it fun! As he was getting out of the tub tonight, he said, "Mom, it has been a really fun day!" I definitely have to agree!

His sister is just like her mama & doesn't like to be cold, so she sat this round out watching cartoons. When I asked if she wanted to go out again, she replied, "No, I'm going to snuggle up in my warm house!"

SNOW!!

Dan picked Daniel up from school this morning about 10:45 & by the time he got home the ground was mostly covered. We didn't waste anytime before heading out to play. They both had a blast. Laura Ann got out the sand toys & kept busy with those for a LONG time while Daniel spent his time rolling down the hill & building a snowman (completely by himself). They both had fun on the sled, throwing snowballs & making snow angels. What a treat! I'm sure we'll head back out again after quiet time, so more to come tonight.......

Daniel's Valentine

Ms. Misty emailed this pic of Daniel & Anna Whitley at school this morning. She said she couldn't resist a pic of them all dressed up for their party (that ended up being postponed)! :)
