Coach Kelly & Daniel (the sun was in his eyes)
The Track Awards Ceremony was the weekend that we moved. Daniel missed it because he was in Moulton at Gran & Papa's. Coach Kelly met us this morning to give Daniel his trophy & track sack. He was totally enthralled with the trophy. Daniel is full speed & loud 24/7, but when he is really in awe of something/someone, he gets really quiet & solemn (meeting characters at Disney, Santa, the aquarium, etc.). This was one of those moments. I told him this morning that we were meeting Coach Kelly & that she had a trophy for him. He said, "Are you SURE it's a trophy, because I think it is just a surprise." I told him we would just wait & see. She congratulated him on his hard work & progress, but all he could do was stare at the trophy! It was really cute. He recovered after a few minutes & told every person we met going into school that he had a REAL track trophy- WOW!! :) Congrats on a great track season, Daniel!
