I've said before that our move was bitter sweet. Part of the 'bitter' was leaving our sweet neighbors, the Coueys. Mrs. Couey refused to come outside the day the moving truck came. We had all agreed before moving day that we wouldn't say goodbye, but Dan relented & went over to say goodbye anyway. He said he barely made it out of there without breaking down! :( Mrs. Couey just kept saying how sad she was that my kids would grow up without knowing her & I kept telling her that we were only moving across town, not out of the country & that we would stay in touch. Well, they came over for dinner tonight & I think it is safe to say that Daniel & Laura Ann haven't forgotten them. They were thrilled to see them & kept them entertained all evening. So, maybe we won't play with them outside everyday or get each others mail or borrow sugar or pass along leftovers or talk over the fence anymore, but they are more than just neighbors. They are friends & that kind of relationship goes beyond neighborhoods & geographical locations. So Mrs. Couey, looks like Daniel & Laura Ann will grow up knowing you after all! :)

That is so sweet! I feel like I know the Couey's, too, because I've heard you talk about them so many times. Special people!
That is precious!!
