Today was a near perfect day on the beach. I say 'near perfect' because the water was still a little rough, but Daniel & Laura Ann were not deterred. I talked to a lifeguard who said that there was no undertow, so I relaxed a little. The water was gorgeous & there was a perfect breeze. We spent the morning & the early part of the afternoon jumping waves and digging in the sand. Big Daddy wins the award- I think he stayed in the water with Daniel for almost the entire 4 hours, with maybe 2 short breaks to play in the sand. I'm starting to think that Big Daddy has figured out a way to 'funnel' some of Daniel's energy, which is literally endless, to himself! Dan & Daniel broke out the football for a little while & we all had a few snacks. To top it off, we saw several dolphins swimming VERY close to the shore, so close that we could see them under the water (see next post). The week has flown by- I'm so sad that tomorrow is our last day. I'm sure we'll make the most of it!
