at Daniel's first five years. Wow- he has grown & changed so much! Daniel- here are some things I want to remember about your 5th year:
*Your precious dimples
*Your VERY VIVID imagination- you love to dress up & often create your own costumes
*How protective you are of your sister (in public)
*How "fast" you can run & how you love to show me
*Your deep belly laugh when your dad is being silly
*Our quiet time reading books & the expression on your face when while you are listening to them
*Your sweet prayers- you pray for all of our family & friends, for safety, safe travels, health & sickness; you thank God for your house & toys; you pray for missionaries; your prayers are often long & sometimes dramatic
*How peaceful you are when you are sleeping
*Like your dad, you hit the ground running & talking immediately when you wake up every morning
*How you can endlessly entertain yourself
*Your love of everything boy- trucks, planes, trains, blocks, balls, superheros
*Of all the superheros- you admire your Dad the most & want to do everything like him, including sleep in only underwear
*You will find a way to get dirty- no matter what
*Your love for your sister, enough to play baby dolls sometimes & how you consider yourself a "grown-up" where she is involved
*How you have absolutely no concept of time
*How you will drop everything you're doing to listen to a story & will beg to hear "just one more"
*How you love to tell stories that seem to go on & on & on & on.....wonder where you get that from? :)
*How even though you're getting to be a big boy, you will still curl up in my lap- occasionally
I will stop here, but could probably go on & on- there are just too many things to list. Daniel- you are tons of fun everyday. You bring so much joy into my life & I love being your Mom. I'm looking forward to all that your 6th year will bring!

Awww...I love this post with the pictures and the things you want to remember. I can't believe our babies are this old. I remember seeing Daniel in the hospital in his little gray gown and Alabama hat right after he was born.
