FINALLY, after Laura Ann's episode of climbing on the crib last week to put her baby dolls on the window sill above her bed, we decided it was time to bring the big girl bed from Gran & Papa's. The bed is the one that I had growing up. Dan made another trip to Moulton today to pick it up. She was sooooo excited about it, as was Daniel. He kept saying, "Laura Ann, your new bed is huger than mine!" We called it a princess bed, but LA says "prinpess". I'm not sure if this will solve the climbing problem or make it worse. I guess we'll find out this week! The excitement ended at bedtime & she wanted her baby bed back. Dan, as always spoiling her rotten, rocked her to sleep & then layed her down. I am very proud of myself for making it through today with no tears, until now at least. The crib is officially finished after five years- with this generation of James children anyway. It is stored away in the attic waiting for the next generation. I just can't believe that my babies are gone & how fast this stage of life has flown by! Just 6 months ago, Laura Ann was still in pampers, had a paci & sleeping in a crib! I know I put all of those things off longer than necessary, but I was trying to keep a my baby a baby as long as I could!
