Reclaiming McWane!

The crew, Emily, Laura Ann, William & Daniel

We worked in one more day of McWane fun with the Bozemans today. Somehow, we missed the memo that today at McWane was for boring, grumpy, irritable ADULTS who have a low tolerance for fun-loving children! Despite a few run-ins with these grumpy people, who did not appreciate our 'energetic' children, we did have a good time! We just decided that we were at a CHILDREN'S museum & were going to let our children act like children. I don't mean that we allowed them to run wild & misbehave (ok, maybe there was a tiny bit of misbehavior, but it was promptly addressed), I just mean that we allowed them to have fun and didn't require them to be still and silent. The ADULTS were just going to have to get over it, or go to an adult museum! My two favorite moments of the day were 1)When somehow William's empty apple juice bottle bounced off Melissa's head & hit the lady sitting behind us at lunch! It wasn't nearly as humorous to Melissa as it was to me!! :) and 2) This crazy lady, who was wearing a blue dress, scolded Laura Ann for hitting her son. When actually, Laura Ann FINALLY hit him back after being repeatedly hit by him! After that, I just told our kids to stay away from the little boy & his mom (the lady in the blue dress). A little later, we see them & Daniel yells VERY loudly, "Quick, Laura Ann, HIDE, there's THE LADY IN THE BLUE DRESS!!!" It was quite comical! So, no, this wasn't our best day at McWane (the kids didn't seem to notice), but we still had a great time & did our very best to RECLAIM McWane for the CHILDREN!!!
