We always seem to have boxes out for garbage day from JA & lately they have been disappearing from the garbage on the road. They are usually found torn up, scattered across my front yard & being used to slide down the hill!
Love this one of Jeb & Daniel- they got a little tangled up in this box! Ha!

We had a wonderful Veteran's day at our house! We had originally made plans with friends but by Wednesday night, I knew that we were really in need of a layed back pajama day, and that is how we spent the morning. Jeb rang our doorbell at 10:00 and lured Daniel & Laura Ann out of their pjs & outside to play (I stayed true to our original plan & in my pjs all day!:) They played outside ALL day long soaking up the gorgeous weather that will surely be gone soon. I made them all lunch and they took a short break to eat on our porch. We thanked God for veterans in our prayer and Merrill (the 4th grader) explained to us all why we celebrate Veteran's Day. I thought they would surely wind down after lunch, but not so. They all headed right back out & just couldn't seem to get enough! At 3:00, I made Daniel and Laura Ann come in to take a break and have some quiet time. It was a super relaxing, lazy morning & a day full of neighborhood fun that included everything from Sheriffs arresting bad guys to princesses to box sliding! I can't let the day pass without saying how very thankful I am for all the veterans in this country and their sacrifices. It is because of them that we are able to enjoy days like today, along with countless of other freedoms! What a blessing they are!
