BOOM!

After some 'bomb' popsicles, we enjoyed a fabulous fireworks show at the TFC. Daniel & Laura Ann both liked it this year & weren't afraid- yea! They also had lots of fun listening to the bands & dancing. It was fun sitting w/ the Moore's. Daniel, David & Jacob had some 'sword' fights with the glow sticks! At the end, Daniel 'busted a move' dancing to Sweet Home Alabama. He just lit up when they started playing this song- he thinks it is only for football games! :) On a side note, we sat next to Big Al, only he wasn't in costume- Daniel couldn't figure that one out!

I am so mindful today of the great freedom I enjoy everyday in this country & the fact that this freedom isn't free. I am thankful beyond words to all of those who have sacrificed their lives, for those who are defending this nation today & for their families who have sacrificed & are sacrificing along with them that I may have freedom. I read an email this past week that described what the signers of the Declaration of Independence endured after placing their signatures on that document- many lost their lives & their families too, but this didn't stop them from standing up for what they believed in & that was just the beginning. There have been too many to count who've done the same since then & are still doing so today. It is just an honor & a blessing to live in this great nation among such heros. True FREEDOM, however, has nothing to do with what country one may live in, but from knowing Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior, because He paid the ultimate sacrifice to free us all from the bondage of sin. So, today, I am most thankful that no matter where I live, I am truly FREE in HIM! Happy Independence Day!
