The First of Many.....

....HOLES!! Daniel got a hole in the knee of his pants for the first time today. I don't know how he's managed not to get one before, b/c he literally lives on his knees playing w/ cars, trucks, trains, superheros, etc. It was just a little one, but he pulled it & made it really big. I'm sure this is only the beginning. This is another example of the JOY of boys- right?

Spiderman

Daniel loves Spiderman. He can do some really great Spiderman moves in the bathtub, but I couldn't figure out a way to modestly photograph them, so I just took one of Spiderman getting a hug! :)

Happy Birthday Baby!

Laura Ann loves to play "birthday" w/ her babies. This morning, I heard her singing happy birthday in her room. When I went in there, she had "big girl" baby (big girl b/c she's the only one with hair) in the highchair w/ birthday cake. She had 2 other babies out & had cupcakes for them (in the teacups). She is so precious in these moments & I try to recall them when she's having a "terrible twos" moment!

Happy 4th Birthday William!

I had to post some pics of this sweet boy. I can't believe that it has already been 4 years since his birth- which I was present for! His mom, my cousin, Molly, called me around lunchtime & said that her water had broken & that she needed a ride to the hospital. William's dad, Michael, was working in Anniston & was an hour away. I made the 5 minute drive to Molly's, picked her up, & off we go to the hospital. Her contractions were close together, but we made it in plenty of time & Michael arrived shortly after we did. William was born about 2 hours later & I was there with the video camera & got the miracle of his birth on tape. What a special day! Daniel was only 9 months old, but I remember coming home thinking how I couldn't wait to have another baby & do the whole "birth" experience again.

Ready for a Round Up!

We went to William's Cowboy Birthday Party yesterday & had loads of fun! It was at his Mimi & Granddaddy's house in Mt. Hope. There was an inflatable castle to jump in, 4 wheeler rides (which Daniel LOVED!), pony & cart rides & a hayride- in addition to yummy cake & ice cream! What a fun party- Happy 4th Birthday William!

Big Girl Panties

Laura Ann wore big girl panties for the first time on Saturday. She is really into the potty, but has't quite "mastered" it yet! None the less, she was SO EXCITED about the "big girl" Tinkerbell panties!

Mission Friends Visit to the Nursing Home

Daniel & Anne Stewart passing out Valentine Cards

Mary Grace, Anne Stewart, Sophie, Daniel & Emily

Daniel's Mission Friends class made Valentine cards on Wednesday night at church for the residents at our nursing home. A few of us met there this morning and handed them out. I was so impressed with all of the kids. They all did a great job passing out the Valentines & were so sweet to all of the residents.

Valentine Cookies

Ok, I totally cheated this year & did slice n' bakes for our Valentine cookies. It was much easier & the kids loved it anyway. They still got to do their favorite part- the sprinkles! I really was just lazy, but my excuse is that last week, Laura Ann added my heart cookie cutters to her bracelet collection & I have no idea where they are now. Ha! :)

Playtime with Kate

We went to Moulton yesterday to celebrate Mamaw's birthday. We got there a little bit early & got to enjoy some playtime outside in the gorgeous weather with Kate. She & Laura Ann had fun in the wagon, while Daniel entertained us with some "speed racer" moves on the go cart!

Bird House

Daniel got a bird house with paint from Uncle Mac & Aunt Joann for Christmas. I think he has asked at least once every day since then to paint it & it just never seemed to be a good time. I finally caved last week & got it out (bless him for his month long patience). He did a great job on it. We will be hanging it outside shortly to give our many birds another "home" option this spring!

International Food Festival

The Wee Center hosted an International Food Festival to coincide with their language & social studies units. Dan & I got to go through all of the countries with Daniel & sample foods. Daniel, of course, found something sweet to enjoy at each country!
