Rammer Jammer

Dan & I went to the Georgia game yesterday & had so much fun! We got to spend a little bit of time w/ Matt, Natalie & some of their GA friends. Needless to say, the game was great! Be warned- the video is for Bama fans only. :) Thank you Gran & Papa for letting Daniel & Laura Ann spend the weekend with you. We have thoroughly enjoyed some couple time, but can't wait to see them tomorrow!

Beach Trip

Daniel, Laura Ann & me went to the beach last weekend with Gran and Aunt Reta. We had a great time. The weather was perfect & my kids were spoiled rotten (not by me). We celebrated Gran's birthday while we were there. Daniel's imaginery friend, Rat, went with us too. He also had a great time, especially in the pool!

Battle Scars, Rainbows & a Beast

I'm still catching up.... Daniel had a check up a couple of weeks ago & had to get a booster shot. Lucky for him, his mom is a freak about vaccinations, so he only got one. He was supposed to get 2 or 3. Anyway, I was expecting him to cry, scream, go bonkers like he usually does when he is hurt or upset. Instead, he got MAD. Furious is probably a better way to put it. I was holding him & as soon as the nurse stuck him, he said, "Ouch!!!!!! You hurt me!!!!! I am angry with you & I am going to put you in jail!!!" (He is all about jail thanks to the sheriff & deputy in Mayberry) And he kept repeating every few seconds I AM ANGRY!! until we left. Walking to the car he told me to tell Dr. Harmon that he would NOT be getting anymore shots EVER!!! He did get a certificate of bravery w/ a free Chickfila ice cream coupon, so we went directly there from the doctor's office. Thankfully the ice cream melted his anger!
We had a beautiful rainbow one afternoon a couple of weeks ago. Daniel loves the bible story of Noah's Ark. When he walked outside & saw the rainbow, he said, "And God will never flood the earth again."
He is continuing to dress up daily as something. One of his favorites these days is the Beast from Beauty & the Beast. He tucks something in his underwear (of course no clothes are included) for a tail & puts on his batman cape. Then he runs around the house on all fours growling.
Thanks Melissa for the candy corn shirts! We have gotten so many compliments on them!

Head First!

I have taken a blogging break the past few weeks! Since I am "kidless" tonight, I thought I'd catch up. The first thing I am posting is from our Labor Day trip to the beach. I forgot to post it earlier. It is of my fearless almost two year going head first into the pool. She just started doing it on her own. It didn't take long for Daniel to follow!
